Under common rules a show becomes available when two players remain and the status conditions are met. Both hands are exposed and the higher ranked hand wins.
Sideshow is a private comparison
A seen player may be able to request a comparison with the previous eligible seen player after meeting the table's action requirement.
A sideshow can be refused
The requested player may accept or refuse under common rules. If accepted, the weaker hand packs privately; if refused, play continues.
Status changes eligibility
A blind player normally cannot request a sideshow. A seen player may also be unable to force a show against a blind final opponent.
